Monthly Volume Data
The U.S. FDA collects data on medical X-ray systems installations throughout the United States. Federal regulations require that an assembler who installs certified components of a diagnostic X-ray system submit a report of assembly to the FDA. These reports contain information such as equipment type, equipment use, location, facility type as well as component-level information. This dataset is large and complex, however, PMI has recently developed various dashboards in order to make this data readily available in an easy to use format, without the need for coding or hours of data QA. One of these dashboards is our “Monthly Volume Tracker” which presents high-level installation volume data for a variety of equipment types.
